about

This project was gestating over several years. As I'm mostly a composer of music for film and theatre, this project was often interrupted with commissions for functional music. It became necessary to find a way to compose in fragments that would remain interesting over long breaks, (usually because they evoked some sort of emotion or picture that felt essential), and could easily be picked up again. It also seemed a good idea to make an album showcasing synthesizer, a sort of amalgam of and tribute to many great musicians and bands (fusion and progressive) that influenced me growing up. Twelve jaunty numbers to do your ironing by, lead Zumba classes, or pipe into a satellite, guaranteed to brighten up any occasion.
